Wild Mountain Harvested Mullein Leaf

Harvested by us in the Spring Mountains of Nevada! Hand harvested @ 8,000+ ft elevation.

Mullein is a super fluffy (& fuzzy!) lightweight herb, so you get a lot of volume per ounce.

We have 1 oz, 2 oz & 4 oz quantities available.

We recommend making a tea infusion and it can be enjoyed as a nice treat or used for its incredible immune supporting benefits. The tea tastes great and is very subtle and refreshing.

Potential Benefits :

  • Mullein contains various compounds which strengthen the immune system
  • Respiratory Support: Mullein is commonly used to treat respiratory issues like coughs, asthma, bronchitis, and congestion. Its expectorant properties help clear mucus from the lungs, making it useful for colds and respiratory infections

  • Mullein offers soothing, calming and comforting properties

  • A caffeine free tea that can be enjoyed in the evening
  • Anti-inflammatory: Mullein contains compounds that reduce inflammation, which can help relieve irritation in the throat and lungs

  • Studies have shown mullein to have antibacterial and antiviral properties

  • Diuretic: Mullein helps increase urine output, aiding in detoxification and promoting kidney health

  • Digestive Health: Mullein can help with constipation, and its soothing nature can calm digestive inflammation, bloating and gas

Historical use :
Dioscorides, a Greek physician pharmacologist and botanist, practicing in the 1st century in Rome, who authored the herbal De Materia Medica, was one of the first to recommend mulleins use in lung conditions around 2,000 years ago. It was used as a hair wash in ancient Roman times; the leaf ash to darken hair, and the yellow flowers for lightening it. The leaves were dried, rolled and used as wicks for candles and the entire dried flowering stalks were dipped in tallow and used for torches, hence the names 'candlewick plant' or 'torches'.

Recommended use :
Make a tea infusion with 1-3 tbsp and consume as needed. For an infusion, bring water to a boil, turn heat off, wait 30 seconds, then add the Mullein and cover. Let simmer for 15-60 min. Strain and enjoy. You can infuse the same herb (reuse) 2-3 times to extract all the properties from the herb before disposing/composting.

Highest quality Mullein I’ve came across!

Amazing quality!! True wild-crafted. Tastes amazing when lightly brewed as an evening, morning … or even afternoon treat. And of course highly medicinal. Not just when there’s an issue or when illness arises - but to keep the respiratory system strong and resilient!
