About our products :

Tinctures - A tincture is a concentrated extract of one or more herbs and is taken by mouth or with water to receive the therapeutic  properties of the herbs in a convenient and potent form. There are different types of tinctures on the market including those made from alcohol, soy derived glycerin, apple cider vinegar and vegetable glycerin. We chose to use high quality, organic, palm derived vegetable glycerin which is sustainably sourced (RSPO Certified). Vegetable glycerin is the most effective way to extract the properties of the herbs without destroying any of the constituents. Vegetable glycerin is also an alkaline and healthy way to receive these properties. Alcohol, soy and apple cider vinegar is not only acidic and potentially unhealthy to consume, it also destroys certain properties of the herb during extraction. Our tinctures are placed in BPA free glass bottles with glass droppers which are thoroughly sterilized and heat sealed for protection. Glycerin tinctures have a shelf life (expiration) of 14-24 months from the date they are made.

Herbs - We always use wild crafted herbs when sustainably available. Wild crafted herbs are harvested straight from their natural environment meaning they undergo weather and climate changes which results in a more established plant with a better developed root system and a more developed medicinal value. During seasons when wild crafted herbs are not available, we use organically grown herbs from highly renowned farms which we have developed a relationship with and trust in their growing and harvesting methods. Our goal is always to provide the highest quality of botanicals to our customers. All botanicals are analyzed and measured for identity, microbial and physical contaminants. If any material fails to pass specifications, it is immediately rejected by our providers.

Sea Vegetables - There is a few different kinds of sea moss on the market. We only use Chondrus Crispus, better known as Irish Sea Moss which contains 92 of the 102 minerals that make up the human body. Our Sea Moss is wild harvested from the coast of Maine. Our bladderwrack (Fucus Vesiculosus) is wild harvested from the beautiful coast of Maine's Atlantic waters as well. Both of these seaweeds are analyzed and measured for identity, microbial and physical contaminants. If any material fails to pass specifications, it is immediately rejected by our provider.

Our seaweeds undergo thorough batch testing, such as:

Identity testing - Organoleptic, Macroscopy, and High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC)

Moisture count analysis - This is very important because material that is too moist is prone to mold, fungus, and bacterial outbreaks.

Macroscopic and extraneous analysis - This technique reveals the cellular structure of botanicals to determine identity, adulteration, extraneous matter, and general cleanliness.

Microbiological testing - This test is for threatening food borne bacteria, mold, and yeast.

Chemical testing - This testing is to ensure all batches are free of pesticide and herbicide residues, heavy metals, and sulfites.

Capsules - Our capsules are 100% vegetable cellulose (HPMC), organic, kosher, gluten free, SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) free, and of course vegan.

Jars - Our jars are solid BPA free glass, sterilized, and heat sealed.
